Effects of Screens on Brains          Have you ever wondered why people say that tv rots your brain? There may actually be some truth to it. Scientists have recently been studying the effects of screens to the brain’s internal clock. This may be why gaming is starting to be known as a disability/disease. In this paper I will be showing you the parts of the the brain and how screens affect parts of the brain especially the internal clock.            The first part of the brain and the biggest part is the cerebrum. It’s easy to see why because the cerebrum controls all of your voluntary muscles. It is also needed to figure out stuff like a math problem. The second part of the brain is the cerebellum which controls all of your balancing so you could not do a balancing act without your cerebellum. The third part of your brain is one of the most important it is the brain stem, The brain stem tells your heart to pump blood, It tells your stomach to digest food, and it goes through millions of brain messages every day. The fourth part of your brain is the pituitary gland it is the part of your brain that changes you with puberty and releases hormones throughout  your body , the pituitary gland also controls someone’s metabolism and growth. The fifth and final part of the brain is the hypothalamus which controls the bodies temperature it tells your body when to sweat and shiver (http://m.kidshealth.org/en/kids/brain.html). The way your brain uses your nervous system. In the beginning your body was born with a lot of neurons. In time pathways between them got bigger and easier to make. You need to be good to your brain in order for it to grow one way is to eat lots of healthy brain food for your brain. You need to exercise and play (https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/dev.html). http://m.kidshealth.org/en/kids/brain.htmlWear a helmet whenever you’re doing a dangerous activity that could damage your brain. You should not drink or do drugs since severely affect your brain and kills you quicker. Do puzzles that challenge your brain like puzzle games or rubix cubes. Be sure to do lots of problems to stimulate the mind. Make sure you get enough sleep during the night so that your brain is well rested for the rest of the day.       http://m.kidshealth.org/en/kids/brain.htmlHere are some foods you can eat to help your brain. One of them are blueberries which are proven to help the brain relieve stress and age related illnesses. Wild salmon also helps the brain because of its cleanliness. Nuts and seeds help because of their huge supply of vitamin e. Avocados are almost as good as blueberries just not tasty.          https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/dev.htmlThe brain’s weight usually depends on whether it’s a boy or a girl. Brain weight gets gradually bigger as they age. Then the brains cells get less as time goes on. Modern medicine has let us have a greater understanding of the human brain. We should be grateful.https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/dev.html The human brain starts developing just three weeks after conception. The brain is always more impressionable during early birth. This means that children are more open to learning and new experiences in their early childhood than adults are in their life which is probably why some old people can be very stubborn. That means that children are also more vulnerable.https://wonderopolis.org/wonder/how-are-video-games-madeHave you ever wondered how electronics are made? Well this part will teach you all about it. Video games can take years to make considering all the programing and texturing that goes into it. It’s not easy to make a game you need a author an imagination and good enough coding skills to do it. Normally video games have to be good enough and unique enough to stand out otherwise it will just become another obscure game.https://thoughtcatalog.com/jane-hurst/2015/02/12-types-of-computer-games-every-gamer-should-know-about/There are many different types of games .There are puzzle games which test your mind and reflexes. Then there are role playing games  which you take turns in doing damage to each other.  Eventually one of you falls when your hp or health points turns to zero and are declared dead. There are platformers where you hop to and from you guessed it platforms and in rpg’s you have a lot of health points but in platformers you usually only have 3-4 health points. https://thoughtcatalog.com/jane-hurst/2015/02/12-types-of-computer-games-every-gamer-should-know-about/There are also run and gun games where you shoot down your enemies while running. To make games video game makers use special video game software. Sometimes it can be as simple as a computer. An entire game can be made in a garage. So if you have the right equipment that is you could make your own game at your house.http://www.madehow.com/Volume-5/Video-GVideo games were first made from ship tracker equipment to keep navy seals entertained. They were then ported to places called arcades in cabinets. Then later on people made  home versions so that you could then play these games at home. Then atari made a system so you switch out these original games. Then the video game crash happened and video games got a bad rap.http://www.madehow.com/Volume-5/Video-GThen soon after Nintendo released their console it brought video games back. This made a new age of video games. This soon lead to all the video game consoles and video games that you see today. So if it was not for Nintendo, video games would just be an experiment in 80’s. Now video games are one of the most popular things of all timeshttp://www.madehow.com/Volume-5/Video-GToday many of the games that you see today are about 50 dollars. This is because games take lots of funding to make. They need to pay for coders and programmers and to pay for tv ad time. Then they need to take their profit’s and put it back in their business. Then the cycle continues like business does.http://www.madehow.com/Volume-5/Video-GVideo games are played almost all the time from the arcade to your home to playing on the go with portable systems. Pc games are played only on your computer. With different games you have to play on the same type of console that made the game. Millions of dollars each year go into video games which is good considering that 70% of kids today play video games. To many video games are pointless but to many they are the most popular medium of all time.In my experiment I will take a 3 groups of 5 boys from 7th-8th grade and make them count 5 seconds on a stopwatch. Then I will make them watch 10 min. of youtube. Then I will make them take it again. Them I will compare the results. I think the results will be very different.https://wonderopolis.org/wonder/how-are-video-games-madehttp://www.madehow.com/Volume-5/Video-Ghttps://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/dev.htmlhttp://m.kidshealth.org/en/kids/brain.htmlhttps://www.zerotothree.org/resources/series/frequently-asked-questions-about-brain-developmenthttps://thoughtcatalog.com/jane-hurst/2015/02/12-types-of-computer-games-every-gamer-should-know-about/
